Scouts – Cubs – Beavers – Explorers
1st Dawlish Scout Group has been encouraging children from Dawlish and surrounding areas to learn and develop through fun activities and games for generations.
We run four sections for young people from the age of 6 up to 14:
- Beavers (age 6-8) Monday evenings
- Cubs (age 8-10½) Thursday evenings
- Scouts (age 10½-14½) Tuesday evenings
- Explorers (age 14-18) Monday evenings

Volunteer Opportunities
There is an ongoing effort to recruit enthusiastic volunteers to strengthen the existing 1st Dawlish leadership team in order to provide the wide range of interesting, exciting and educational activities and outdoor adventures that benefit the young people in the Group.
We would like to invite people to come forward to help us. We need willing and versatile leaders. We’re just looking for a couple of hours each week and full training will be given. Why not come down, and find out more about who we are?
Seaborne Hall
We are based in Seaborne Hall, Sandy Lane, Dawlish, EX7 0NL
The hall is reserved for use by the four sections of the group in the early evenings on at least three days of the week.
At other times and in school holidays it is available for hire for occasional or regular bookings by; private individuals for birthday parties and other events; community groups; clubs; social and leisure organisations; and commercial organisations for the purposes of meetings/training etc.
Highlights of the Hall include:
- Large Main Hall
- Newly fitted Kitchen, with cooker, sink, hot water spout and fridge
- Newly fitted Toilets, inc. Accessible and Baby Change Facilities
- Tables and Chairs Available
- Some external Areas for outdoor activities/seating
